I stopped writing for a while, and realized my mistake when I started again. Trying to sound extra made my writing lose its meaning. The words felt empty. This is smth short and simple that I wrote after that realization

Both White and Black; complete nonsense from top to bottom. He wasted his time looking for substance in that garbage fire, but ultimately found nothing.
None of it matters, so screw both of them, toss 'em in the bin alongside the rest of the broken toys—both of it can go straight to HELL as far as he cares. The only thing that counts is getting his hands on a decent cuppa, a damn tea; that's about it, and if that means abandoning the pretentiousness of the world, then so be it. Because that was what He always did. He knew exactly what was going down. Sat back, watched the whole bloody circus unfold. Only stepped in when absolutely necessary to keep the wheels of existence turning, then let nature take its course. Allowed people to march right off the cliff, heads held high, blinded by their own hubris. The world is meaningless.
Let the dominoes fall, piece by shattered piece, letting humanity stew in its own self-destructive juices, and you know what? It worked perfectly.

4 years and a half had passed since the galaxy emerged victorious against the Reapers. Recovery process is still ongoing, with the trauma of the war still lingering on, physical, mental, and emotional.
Inspired by the unfinished diaries that her former mentor, Admiral David Anderson, left in his former Citadel Apartment prior to his demise, now retired Commander Katherine Shepard decides to do her own diary detailing her early life, her career, the defining three years of her life, and what has she been up to since the end of the Reaper War.
Although it might be for the fun of it or just out of boredom, Shepard is writing her diary to help find her own closure.
NOTICE: This fic is based on the ending headcanon from AHEM (Audemus Happy Ending Mod), so no Catalyst, no Mass Relays damaged/destroyed, and no Geth/EDI being destroyed either. Additionally, it's based on CEM (Citadel Epilogue Mod), so expect the events of Citadel DLC to play out a few years after the Reaper War.
I should also mention that EGM and LE1/LE3 DP mods factor into this story.

Grace thinks it's just coincidence or proximity when Rocky asks him to decorate pieces of the new carapace, or when the pieces he holds don't crumble in his atmosphere. Or when the hand that presses against the xenonite paneling during testing looks incredibly, insanely human.
It's just him projecting. Rocky wouldn't want that.
