Watching Smallville, it bugs me that Clark went on so many crazed benders and nobody in the end really remembers. I wrote this years ago and am consolidating my FF accounts, and after reading smallville season 11 Alien arc, people should be afraid of Superman , not just because he's an alien, but because people remember his earlier violence in Smallville.
I wrote this - and recently on a 'no melodrama' kick asked anthropic tools to help me eliminate childish prose.

Summary

While a lot has evolved, some problems from the past still remain, though a glimpse of women who strive for more inspires her. She meets a young female journalist traveling through who seems to have a connection to a boy she'd long forgotten.
Through all the chaos, she gets to a see a future that makes her question everything about her present.
